UCSF experienced challenges around investigations and needed a centralized application to help standardize the case management processes and data investigation units. In 2020, the PMO was engaged to help select and implement i-Sight, a campus-wide case management system across multiple investigation units, including the Office of Ethics & Compliance, Academic Affairs, Audit & Advisory Services, and Threat Management Group. The system was implemented in July 2022 to:
- Enable workflow for staff to track, triage and resolve investigation cases
- Introduce standard operating procedure (SOP) for increasing consistency in how units conduct investigations
- Support the UCSF Chief Campus Compliance Officer to effectively oversee investigations and case management
- Provide comprehensive reporting to Executive Leadership
